How this mom lost 56 kg in less than a year!
Before Cecily found The Healthy Mummy, she revealed that she had a “toxic relationship with food.”
“I’ve always had a lot of problems losing weight despite endless dieting and trying my best over and over again,” she says.
“I started to have a toxic relationship with food, where I didn’t care if I was eating healthy because it didn’t seem to matter. I think that’s where a big part of my health issues started.”

“This weekly food store costs $146.65 for two adults and two children,” Cecily says.
Monday:
breakfast: Frozen banana and mango Vanilla smoothie
Morning tea: Green beans with cucumber and yogurt
lunch: Smoothie mango, acai, mint and vanilla
afternoon tea: Carrot and Zucchini Cake And a set of dipping cucumber and yogurt.
Dinner: Chicken Fajitas
Playing sports: no one
“I like to choose meals and snacks that are really easy to prepare. I choose things with similar ingredients to keep costs down and not waste things.
“I always make an extra dispatch so I can have something ready to go later in the week. I don’t have big prep days, just convenient to cook when I can and it works with my kids.”
Tuesday:
breakfast: Pine, mango, spinach and vanilla smoothie
Morning snack: Shock Mint Power Bar
lunch: Pine, mango, spinach and vanilla juice
afternoon tea: Green beans with cucumber yogurt
Dinner: Fried chicken noodles And the Super Greens
Playing sports: 5 km walk
“Tuesday is my really busy day so I got up and went straight for a walk. I always bring a Power Bar in my bag in case I get stuck and hungry on Tuesday. All my meals today were pretty quick with no mess to keep it easy.”
Wednesday:
breakfast: A2 . Skimmed Chocolate Orange Juice
Morning tea: Carrot cake, zucchini and coffee
lunch: A2 Fat Free Banana Smoothie
afternoon tea: Green beans with cucumber and yogurt
Dinner: slow cooked asian chicken
Playing sports: . Pilates Challenge Circuit 28 day weight loss challenge
“Today I use things in my fridge. Everything is already prepped so I all have to put dinner in the slow cooker. I have rice already cooked in frozen portions.
“I love Pilates, they are very easy and effective exercises that I really enjoy.”
Thursday:
breakfast: Filled with veggie frittata and coffee
Morning tea: Chocolate cake Zuchinni
lunch: Smoothie cookies and cream With skimmed milk
afternoon tea: Shock Cherry Power Bar
Dinner: Out for dinner – rump steak with extra salad.
Playing sports: walk
“I really feel like something delicious for breakfast, so I looked at 28 day weight loss challenge Center the recipes with the ingredients I have in my fridge. Mushrooms, spinach and tomatoes. I chose the frittata because it appealed to me today.
“I made a baby zucchini chocolate cake and ate 3 pieces. I feel so bad about it and am thinking of calling it a day. But the cookies and cream smoothie arrived today! I chose to have it with A2 skim milk only, which means I’m back on track! It was I have more melted chocolate after making Choc Zucchini Cake, so I searched the Recipe Center and found Choc Dipped Fruit Coins, I made these too.
“My energy bars from Choc Cherry Power Bars arrived too. So I had to grab one for afternoon tea – it was soo yum! Come afternoon I started to go off track. I let my stand take over and eat out of impulse. I feel so upset with myself .
“On Thursday nights we usually go out to dinner, I thought about having a smoothie and keeping things on track, but today I chose not to. I went out to dinner, I ate chips. But that’s okay, that’s life, and it’s not every day I make the best choices.”
Friday
breakfast: Cookies and smoothie cream with skimmed milk
Morning tea: Black bean dip with vegetable sticks
lunch: Power Bar and Super Greens
afternoon tea: Carrot and zucchini cake
Dinner: Chicken Tabbouleh (This is Sicily’s special recipe)
Playing sports: no one.
“Today I am with a new mind. I wanted to go for a walk but the weather is bad, I made extra servings of dip and extra tabbouleh salad. I ate well today. I had a strong mentality today after going off track yesterday.”
Saturday
breakfast: Super greens smoothie
Morning tea: Carrot and zucchini cake
lunch: Dukkah Eggs and Tabbouleh
afternoon tea: Chocolate covered banana coins
Dinner: Marinated lamb chops
Playing sports: Toning of the heart after childbirth. Advanced Core Exercises 7
“I was planning to go to an aqua zumba class today, but couldn’t, so I picked a few of my favorite exercises from the exercise center.
“Advanced Core Workout 7 is probably my favorite centerpiece video. It’s fast, efficient and I really feel it but I enjoy it. I ate great delicious food today and had a great day! I love eating delicious food.”
Sunday
the lunch: Cinnamon and vanilla waffle
Snack: popcorn
afternoon tea: Carrot Cake, Zucchini and Super Greens
Dinner: Banana, mango and vanilla juice
Playing sports: Advanced Core Exercises 7
“On Sundays, I like to have a delicious family breakfast, so I started the day with my cinnamon and vanilla muffins. They are my favourite. I had them with coconut and vanilla ice cream and warm unsweetened berries.
“I decided to have a smoothie for dinner after a delicious breakfast, so I finished the day with bananas, mangoes, and vanilla.”

Monday morning weight:
“Losing 1.3 kg. I am happy with this week’s efforts. I was frustrated by a ‘bad day’. I now know I can move on and still achieve amazing results, so instead I try to use it as motivation to do better the next day,” Cecily says.
“I’m also glad I used all the veggies in my fridge and didn’t have to throw out anything. I didn’t exercise every day, but that’s how it goes for me, I don’t always take the time.
“I had a bad day and made an unhealthy choice while out for dinner, but this is also my life. I have bad days.. and then I choose to move on. This was a pretty average week for me. I will now reevaluate and try to improve next week. I reevaluate every week “.
Things I can do better next week:
- Choose delicious snacks. That way I won’t be tempted to eat more cake.
- Reevaluate my weekly goal. I think I put a lot of pressure on myself to achieve more this week, which led to my poor food choices and rushes to eat. This week I’m going to tone it down and not put myself down too much
- Drink more water!
- I go to bed earlier so that I rest more and can find time to exercise every day.
