Mom loses 11kg in 12 weeks and feels amazing!
Emily is a mother of three 23-year-old boys, including a 4-month-old, has been using The Healthy Mummy for a few years and has lost a total of 40.7kg and even carried a healthy mummy with her youngest.
“23 years old I have 3 boys aged 3.5, 1.5 and 4 months. I have been following Healthy Mummy since September 2020 and lost a total of 40.7 kg! On 2021-22 I had my mom’s first healthy pregnancy!”

“I just had my third child and was so excited to get back to the 100% healthy mummy lifestyle, I thought the 12 week challenge would be the perfect motivation!”
As part of the challenge, I committed to weighing less than 1/2 kg – 1 kg per week, drinking more water and sticking to the meal plan along with other goals.
“I promise to lose 0.5kg-1kg per week and my main goal is to reach 75kg. I also want to drink 3 liters of water per day, stick to my meal plan and be able to run my 5km parkron again.”

She was able to lose weight and fish in addition to achieving her other goals as well.
“I lost 11.4 kg during the 12 week challenge! In 12 weeks I lost a total of 48 cm!”
Besides losing weight and losing CM, Emily has seen huge improvements in her general health. She was also able to complete the 5K Parkrun, and ran the 10K for the first time!
“I have seen so many improvements! My size has gone from 18 to 10. It has cleared my skin a lot. I have been able to do so many things I never thought I could do before!”
“I just smashed my pledge goal of 75kg and got to 70kg! Not only was I able to do the full 5km Parkrun non-stop, but I smashed my best and, for the first time, completed it in less than 30 minutes! I ran 10km! Nonstop for the first time!”
What’s more, she did all this while breastfeeding her newborn son!
“I was able to do all this while breastfeeding my new baby full time (4 months) – my healthy mummy journey has made my postpartum journey the easiest for me so far!”
“The 12 week challenge was very motivating. It helped me stay on track and break my goals. I will definitely do the next challenge!”

Emily’s top tips for successful weight loss
With all her success in not only losing weight but also budgeting for her family, what advice would Emily give other moms?
- Do not compare yourself and your journey with others! Focus on you and your ability – what you can and will do!
- Planning your meals is key – Order your groceries to click and pick up so you don’t have opportunities to stray from your meal plan! And if you plan every meal, you won’t go hungry and overeat later in the day!
- Make sure your basal metabolic rate is calculated correctlyand follow it!
- start small – Don’t push yourself 100% into the program from the start (especially if you’re new to this kind of lifestyle) because you’ll get tired – set yourself small, achievable goals! (For example, go for a 30-minute walk 3-5 times a week, and drink 1-2 large bottles of water per day)
- Involve your family/friends In a lifestyle change! It’s so much easier when your family is on the plane!
