Chest straps are a relatively new trend in the outdoor industry. The versatility that some of these new chest devices bring is nothing like what we’re used to. It was always hard to find that minimalist pack to use for short outdoor activities.
Best chest pack
We had the usual fanny pack, but the constant bouncing prevented us from opening our stride to move faster. Plus, it’s not necessary to carry a large backpack for a Saturday morning walk. Most of the time we only have a bowl of water and a snack in it. With a backpack that covers our entire back, we often sweat and tend to feel uncomfortably hot.
While these innovative enclosures are out there and have been shown to improve our outdoor adventures, many people remain skeptical of the new design. These chest bags are front-mounted utility pouches that are meant to attach to your chest.
The biggest question we hear is, “How can a woman wear it?” This question was answered by someone who wrote a review for this question chest bag at This article is here.
If you’re already one of those skeptics, we’ll break down the features and factors that made us rate the RaveRunner X/RIG 1 as the best. Best chest pack For your next adventure or outdoor workout.
Design
Whoever did this put some serious thought into the design and shape of the packaging. We have tried a few other chest bags that were bouncy and lacked the adjustment needed to make them tight against our bodies.
RaveRunner did not disappoint. The shoulder straps were able to tighten enough that the chest pack itself was high enough on the body of a woman of small size. Reversely, you can mount this utility package on a large individual who weighs 285 pounds and stands 6 feet 3 inches tall. This makes RaveRunner a true “one size fits all” type.
GenZ has also incorporated its own style and touch into the bags. You can see the trend arrow printed on the straps with their “Run, Rave, Repeat” logo printed on the chest strap.
You can tell that this chest bag isn’t 90’s with its edgy, futuristic look and feel.
safety
Taking another look, GenZ thought about user safety in the design. The logo on the back is printed with 3M ink, so when a car shines on your back, you can see. This ranks this pack as a great reflective jogging jacket. Many hydration packs don’t even have a feature like this.
To broach the safety, the RaveRunner also features a fid-lock magnetic buckle on the side. Unlike plastic buckles, the FID lock can be released when the strap is pushed or pulled. Although it is rare that you will come across in a stifling situation while wearing this pack, the lock gives you a way out.
wetting
Another reason for this best chest packs is due to the optional hydration feature. The RaveRunner X / RIG Ultra comes with a soft-to-clean 17-ounce flask that cleans easily. This got us thinking about ski season.
Carrying and a metal flask in your jacket tends to feel uncomfortable. In addition, a fall on a foreign object such as a flask may cause a bone to break.
is contained
GenZ did a great job making sure the hydration pack stayed in place.
