I’m sharing my daily skincare and makeup for the warm months ahead!
Hi friends! I hope you’ve been enjoying the week so far and hope you’ve had a great four days.
Now that we’re at the height of summer’s summer days (it’s hot out there!), I want to share how my beauty routine has changed with the change in temperature. I definitely wear less makeup in the summer months. First, it’s hot and the last thing I want to do is put a lot on my skin (other than SPF!). I should feel light or maybe not wear them all. However, I still want to look together when we’re at the pool. While SPF is a priority for me year-round, we wear much safer sunscreen as a family that comes in summer. After all, reducing sun damage is the #1 anti-aging “secret.”
Here are a handful of skincare and makeup essentials you’ll find in my beauty bag this summer.
Summer skincare and makeup
Contour Beauty Device Daily Pure Defense
The best face sunscreen SPF 25 has ever existed! It blends seamlessly and layers well under makeup. It’s a zinc mineral sunscreen, but it doesn’t leave any white cast. I can’t rave about it enough!
Beauty Counter Dew Tinted Moisturizer
I usually get to Dew Skin on Skin Twin in the summer. It provides a bit of sheer coverage while discoloring my skin tone. Plus, it has SPF 20 (essential). It is extremely lightweight and leaves a beautiful glow!
Beautycounter All Bright C Serum
This smells like sunshine in a bottle! Beauty Counter Vitamin C Serum is essential for all skin types to lighten sun spots and any hyperpigmentation. I use this every morning under my moisturizer.
Beautycounter Glitter Eyebrow Gel
I wear brow gel almost every day. I use the medium shade and it helps me feel more solid right away.
Beauty Counter Beyond Gloss
While I usually save the darkest, most pigmented lip shades for fall and winter, I’m talking about these glosses for spring and summer. It’s highly lustrous, never sticks, and has a subtle hint of ethically sourced vanilla.
Tarte eyeshadow palette
Tarte makes my favorite eyeshadows and has a lot of great palettes.
Paradise Island Self Tanning Drops
I’ve been using it for a couple of years now and love that it gives a natural color – not orange at all. You can customize it according to the amount of drops you add to your body lotion to get a darker or lighter shade. I like 6 drops of body lotion and add 4 drops to my face moisturizer.
I also love Beautycounter’s Blushand bronzer and highlighter pens For that extra color and glow.
