This works out to just over 80 cents per serving. unbelievable!!!! Especially with the rising cost of groceries. This just proves that you don’t have to spend extra money to eat healthy food.
This is what I made…
How this mom prepared healthy meals for three weeks for $100 for her family
It took Fi six hours to prepare the meal, since she has a young child, she had to stop and start (something we mothers know is true!)
“I use a meal plan that has been identified and modified to fit my family.”

Dealing with allergies
This huge meal prep is all the more inspiring because Fi also has to adjust her meals due to multiple allergies or food intolerances in her home.
“My first child was dairy-, soy- and egg-free for two years, and it affected him through my milk. So he and I were dairy-free,” Says.
“Now my second baby is dairy, soy, egg, gluten, latex, peanut, and cornmeal. Again, through my breast milk, I have to be.”
“When I was first told that my child had an intolerance to dairy, soy and eggs, I was nervous because I didn’t know what I could and couldn’t eat.”
“Then I started looking at the recipes on the app and realized that I could substitute dairy ingredients for non-dairy ingredients. That means I don’t miss out on anything.”
Fi says it was tough at first. But now she knows what works for her family and how to get the best out of the app by swapping and swapping items.
Once you know you can swap, and what works for you, it makes it easier and less stressful.

Advice for other moms with food intolerances
With a family with a lot of food intolerances or allergies, Fi understands that it can be difficult to cook foods that fit everyone’s needs, especially if you like to prepare meals. But she’s found some great ways to help manage that without making a million meals a night.
“My advice to other moms with allergies or intolerances. Having an open mind, not stressing out too much and learning what works for me has been a huge help,” Says.
“Look for similar ingredients that you can eat and substitute in. For example, if the recipe contains cream, I use coconut cream; if it has pasta, I use chickpea pasta. Replace peanut butter with almond or cashew butter and replace squash with sweet potatoes.” and dairy products with vegan options.
