Kelly Joyce was following 12 weeks healthy mummy challenge And I’ve already noticed a huge difference!
A mother of two says she’s now got more energy and feels better than she has in years!
“My main motivation was that I wanted to be able to go down the slide with my kids and sit in a hammock comfortably without embarrassment,” Says. “I also want to put on my work uniform before the baby.”
This mom saw huge differences in her physical and mental health in a 12 week challenge
Kelly admits that she has always had issues with my weight since she was young. She even went on a weight loss program at just 15 years old!
“I gained weight when I was in a negative relationship and I weighed 97 kg” Says. “I over-exercised but ate what I wanted, dropped to 72kg and a size 10 but was not maintainable and started to regain the weight.”
When Kelly was pregnant with her first child, she said she “ate for two” and gained over 30kg and hated herself for it.
Then she signed up for 28 day weight loss challenge And she got 89,000 before she got pregnant again.
“I followed the healthy mummy throughout my pregnancy and am determined not to repeat history,” Kelly says. “I only gained 10 kg and it was considered baby weight. I had issues with hormonal imbalance and low iron after childbirth and put back 5 kg. But she is determined to be healthy again.”
Now she has a specific time frame to get in good shape and that’s why she’s participating in 12 week challenge When it comes to scales, Kelly doesn’t weigh herself but she thinks she’s lost between five and six kilos.
“I started wearing a size 18, I am now comfortably in a size 16,” Says. “I have more energy, my iron levels have improved without the need for supplements and I am able to work harder on my workouts without feeling tired immediately. I tend to use only natural sweeteners now and am no longer addicted to soda and sugar to engage me throughout the day.” .
“My body can move more freely, and I have less aches and pains. Mentally I am more focused and organized.”
What does Kelly eat on a normal day?
lunch: I tend to prep meals and either use up leftovers from the night before or have some stashed in the freezer. You find it easier with two young children. If I’m making something, I’ll generally go for pizza or sushi.
dinner: Any healthy meal takes more than 15 minutes. Tonight we had balsamic onions and potatoes loaded with feta cheese. We use a lot of easy ground beef recipes, too.
Snacks: Fruit and nuts for a simple snack, or a healthy stomach meal, mummy pancakes or bars.

Favorite app exercises These are cardio and dance exercises without equipment.
“Most of my challenge workouts have been walking with the stroller. I am fit for occasional application exercises while babies are sleeping. I also have one weights session per week with a friend.”
3 tips from Kelly for success
1. Don’t rely on metrics! Choose the right outfit, take measurements and photos.
2. Accept that you will have “bad” days but don’t make it the end of the world.
3. It is about creating a lifestyle, be sure to maintain it.
“Surround yourself with positive people and those with similar goals. It’s easier to stay motivated when you’re all trying to move on.
“The 12 week challenge definitely made it easier to stay on track. I have a group of friends who also follow the challenge, so we get together to work out, exchange recipes, and get together for the cookouts.”
