One of the things we usually hear from the moms in The Healthy Mummy community is the confidence they find when they join. Well, mum Louise Marie showed off her newfound confidence in a playful way with an adorable boudoir photo session!
Louise decided to celebrate her 40th in a completely different way with this sexy shot, after losing around 5-6kg she was feeling better than ever and wanted to show it off!

Mom celebrates turning 40 and finds new confidence with an exciting boudoir photo session!
Louise Marie was getting ready to turn 40 and wanted to find a different way to celebrate, and couldn’t make it to Paris (her first choice) so she decided to celebrate her body confidence with a boudoir photo session!
“So I decided to do something different from the traditional party for my 40th birthday (originally I wanted to go to Paris, but the pandemic changed all that). It was so much fun to do, and I loved every second of it.”
“If you had told me back in 2017 (top image above) that in 2022 to celebrate my 40th birthday I would have taken a boudoir picture and would be so amazing and beautiful, I would have laughed at that statement. But the photo was taken, and I can’t believe how I looked. Thank you so much for my Healthy Mummy Journey; Healthy Mummy has given me so much body confidence.”
As a way to celebrate not only her birthday but also her newfound confidence, Louise thought she would step out of her comfort zone with a vertigo photo session. She also recommends a photoshoot like this for any other moms who have thought of it!
“I decided to get out of my comfort zone, and decided to do a Boudoir shoot. Before that I was fine, until I arrived a few days ago and was nervous. On the day of filming there was still a lot of nervous energy but I actually used that energy in a session Photography “.
“For any mom who wants to do a photoshoot like this but isn’t sure, trust me you can do anything.”
“This is an amazing experience, do your search for boudoir photographers first, have some chats with them and check out their work. I went with an amazing photographer who is a mom too, and she was great to shoot with. If you are Ever not sure about doing something like this:”
“I can say without a doubt that I found this very possible to do.”
How did Louise get to this confident, stage-ready boudoir body?
She is now officially 40 with two sons and decided to join Healthy Mummy after hating what she saw in the mirror a few years ago and has a boyfriend who has had success with Healthy Mummy.
“My marriage was coming to an end, and I was constantly looking in the mirror and realizing how big I was and when I was overweight, I weighed about 95kg back in 2017. My best friend was on Healthy Mummy and he was telling me that, so I thought why not give it a try, what? Which I have to lose.”
Although her weight continues to fluctuate, she has lost weight with The Healthy Mummy, she has also seen other health changes, but most importantly she feels healthier, happier and more confident.
“So over the years of using Healthy Mummy, my weight has been fluctuating; the most I lost was up to 6 kilos. My weight is now 90 kg, but I have lost quite a few centimeters. I have learned to maintain a healthy lifestyle mixed with healthy eating and exercise “.
“Losing and maintaining my weight has taken me a number of years, and even though I have my ways to go, I know I’m on the right track.”
“I have seen a lot of health benefits, I was struggling to walk and not breathing, but once I started working out and being healthy I was actually able to walk 5 km in less than an hour. I also don’t breathe when I do ballroom dancing now, as a dancer I’m getting my flexibility back.”

“I love healthy mummy drinks, because they are so easy to prepare. I make smoothies at work, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. My favorite smoothie is warm winter juice (Especially in this cold weather). “
“My favorite meals are the Asian slow-cooked chicken, which I make in bulk, and the warm beef salad. I also love the chocolate cake tart, peanut butter fudge bars, and peanut butter crunch—I see a little bit of the topic here with peanut butter.”
What would Louise say to other mothers? do it!
“I would say jump on the healthy mummy bandwagon. It’s a very supportive group of women who are here for each other. We don’t criticize, we help, we support, the products are amazing, and all the recipes are delicious and family friendly too.”
Lousie has seen scales change, cms change but most importantly, she has seen herself change.
“In 2017, I weighed about 95kg and my birdie (which was my favorite back in the day) was tight and loose in sections. Fast forward to 2022 and I am now around 90-91kg but I can see and feel the difference in myself. I can’t wait to live my life to the fullest after working so hard.”
