Simply resting — without any feelings of guilt or shame — can be a huge advantage for your mental health. And when it comes to your relationships, make sure you give your energy to those who truly value it, Kapoor adds, so you don’t risk burnout to little effect.

Leo

You may be known for your self-confidence, Leo, but that doesn’t mean you don’t struggle sometimes, too. You pride yourself on achieving goals and being recognized by others for doing so – but all of this can put a lot of undue stress on your daily life. (Affirmation or appreciation from others can also be sought, which is common among Leos, in particular.)

Mental health advice: For you, life is a phase — and acting in this way can give you a boost. Don’t underestimate the power of expressing yourself unabashedly as a way to feel lighter, says Kapoor. “Singing, dancing, drawing, or even re-enacting a favorite scene from a movie can help you relax.”

Virgo

Ever a perfectionist, you tend to approach everyday tasks from a determined and detail-oriented lens, Virgo. But when the number of tasks on your list is high, this approach can quickly take a toll on your mental health. You might also struggle to be kind to yourself, if you’re a Virgo, and fail to give yourself grace if you don’t follow through on everything you committed to.

Mental health advice: If you find yourself confined to mundane tasks, as Virgos tend to do, find ways to make them more fun, Kapoor suggests. She says that listening to a podcast while you’re doing the dishes or playing upbeat music while you’re cleaning the floor can make a huge difference in how you feel.

While you love a good set of instructions or a clear process to follow, it’s also important to remember that self-care isn’t one-size-fits-all, so “don’t fall into the trap of following other people’s advice on what worked for them,” says Ash. Give yourself the freedom to find what works for you.

Balance

You have a strong desire for balance and harmony in your life, Libra – which can cause problems when things get out of your expectations or control. This also applies to the behaviors of others in your life; You tend to focus more on the well-being and emotional stability of others than you do on yourself, although at the end of the day, you can’t control how other people feel. Getting rid of these tendencies can be a lifelong journey if you are a Libra.

You tend toward total optimism… sometimes to the detriment of Sagittarius. If you are a Sagittarius, you may privately pretend as though nothing is bothering you at all, refusing to fully acknowledge and address unpleasant situations (even if it would contribute to your growth).

In fact, endlessly wanting to achieve goals and succeed can take a toll on your mind and body. If you’re a Capricorn, you might also struggle with taking a beat to feel and process your emotions.

Mental health advice: Since you want to do everything to the best of your ability, managing your time is an essential part of taking care of yourself. This means creating a realistic schedule of what you can feasibly achieve as well as a job routine for getting everything done. “Create a structure in your day to feel stable and secure,” says Kapoor.

Aquarius

If you’re a Pisces, especially, you might have trouble taking off the rose-colored glasses when it comes to difficult circumstances, which makes for abrasive reality checks.

Mental health advice: You don’t have to give up your imaginative side to take better care of yourself; Allowing your mind to wander can help you find creative solutions to difficult moments. Just be sure to take a walk in nature when you start to feel disconnected, says Kapoor. Reconnecting with your tactile senses can provide the balance you need.
