It’s been two years since Kristel’s initial carnivore diet success story, so it’s time for another dead dad.
The Carnivore Diet Success Story
1 year old father meat
1) How would you describe your current way of eating.
I would describe my current way of eating as animal-based. Basically the same as what I described last time 🙂 but I’ll go into a little detail on what that means. 9 meals out of 10 consist of meat, dairy and/or eggs. which is often quite raw. My diet also includes raw honey and seafood. I eat (a lot of) butter, almost with every meal. I absolutely adore raw cream. Several times a year I will have some starch in the form of sweet potato or plantain and some fruit which is usually some berries, pineapple, lemon, grapefruit, cucumber or dates and occasionally I will have some vegetable juice. Sometimes I go months and months without having anything other than what comes from an animal. I avoid vegetables, grains, vegetable/seed oils, sugar, processed/fast foods, caffeine, nuts, seeds, beans, legumes, and any type of dietary supplement. The only thing that has changed is that I generally only start eating more than two meals a day.
2) What have you learned about nutrition over the past year.
I’ve learned that in my case, especially over the past three months, eating more frequently has been a huge improvement for me.
Also, the more you observe the state of the world, the more you realize how important it is to stay away from any processed rubbish offered by supermarkets and fast food places. Now, perhaps more than ever, humans need control and responsibility for what they consume. I fear that people forget their true feelings of health, happiness and vitality. Eating the right way, and I believe that foods given to us by God on earth and not man-made processed foods, will overcome many of the health complications that humans suffer from. Health complications that they consider normal and that they think they are resigned to living with.
3) What health and fitness improvements, and/or setbacks have you experienced in the past year.
In general, I only experienced improvements. I still stand strong with what you mentioned last time as well. I seem to have recovered my bowel problems almost 100%, which made her able to consume a lot more dairy than I did before. This has improved my body composition even more, in a way females try to achieve through intense diet and exercise. At this point, I’m much happier with my body than I was a year ago.
I haven’t been to the gym in over 1.5 years now. I move my body daily, but not through external exercises. Keep it low impact. I like to play sports such as soccer, tennis and dribbling. Throwing a frisbee or throwing a soccer ball. I don’t feel the need to “exercise” every day. As long as I eat well and move my body daily, whether by going for a walk or cleaning the house, I don’t feel like I have to worry about getting out of shape 🙂
I am also sure that eating this way provides me with everything my body needs. I have only seen my health, appearance and mental state improve over the years. Not once did I get sick. I only notice a relapse when I eat something I shouldn’t, and most of the time it’s not even a very noticeable setback anymore. I feel the way I did before going vegan, but even better!
4) What are your health and fitness goals for the next year
I still don’t have any big goals. For now, I’m more satisfied with what I’m comparing to last year. I was able to do everything you mentioned last year, like prioritizing sleep, eating more frequently, and spending more time outside. My skin has improved more, and my hair is growing faster. It’s crazy, but people are constantly telling me that I look younger than I did many years ago. Also last year, I was able to not eat a single bite of processed foods for 8 straight months. So, I would like to continue that this year again, and go a little longer.
5) Do you want to add anything else? And where can people follow your journey?
I learned that diet is really one of the most important pillars of health. Historically, animal products seem to be at the center of our diets. Judging from many civilizations, our ancestors and all the stories of people telling us that they feel better when they are on their diet. It is very important to open a discussion about this because the world is fed up with a narrative about how the plant is based on the future. Unfortunately, a vegan/vegetarian diet will only exacerbate and shorten the human future.
