Over a decade, you can work your way through a good amount of beauty products. There are some things that you can try once and then find a new home for, some beauty and skin care products And therefore Well, you can’t imagine a world where they aren’t staples in your routine. those It’s the products I want to tell you about today because every one of them deserves a story.
For some context: I have ten years of experience as a beauty editor for several publications. I’ve tested thousands of serums, moisturizers, and lip balms. I’ve put countless shampoos and treatments into my hair. And at the end of the day, while there are plenty of things to love out there, there are only a select few that I legitimately use every day (and keep ordering).
Let’s dive in.
SkinCeuticals Triple Lipid Restore – $130
I have fairly dry skin, so every time winter rolls around, I grab this moisturizer. It’s made up of 2 percent ceramides, 4 percent cholesterol, and 2 percent fatty acids, so it’s able to support your skin and help supplement each of these skin ingredients topically. It’s rather thick, but it goes on smoothly and doesn’t leave behind any kind of oily residue like some moisturizers do. I apply this at night and wake up with hydrated, happy skin.

Eadem Cloud Cushion Plush Moisturizer with Ceramides + Peptides – $58.00
For the days when my skin feels more balanced, I choose this cloudy cushion moisturizer, which has a semi-whipped consistency. It also contains ceramides to help strengthen and support the skin barrier, but it also contains peptides that help brighten the skin. This BIPOC owned brand is one to watch because every product they’ve made so far is a show – and they’re only at the beginning. I have been using this product during the day and it has provided me with enough hydration to never get thirsty in my day.

Murad City Skin Age Defense Wide Spectrum SPF 50 – $68.00
It’s a tough job to create an SPF 50 mineral that’s not like baby bottoms putty. This slightly peachy, liquid SPF fits the bill. Compositionally speaking, it feels like you’re applying a light foundation. It’s enhanced with ingredients that not only protect against UVA and UVB rays, but also help protect the skin from environmental pollutants. Bonus points for being skin-friendly, fragrance-free and sensitive.

Dr. Loretta Intense Regenerating Serum – $70.00
There is an old product from Guerlain called midnight secretAnd the talk is that you use this product late at night or early in the morning and it instantly refreshes your skin. However, you cannot use it every day, or it will lose its charm. Somehow, Dr. Loretta has been able to give us the effect of this Midnight Secret 365 days a year. I wear this serum and instantly feel fresh and RTG.

Sachajuan Ocean Mist – $34.00
I have been using this product for the better part of the last decade. It somehow manages to give Type 2B waves just enough hold, but it doesn’t dry out my strands like other salt sprays do. I use it on both dry and wet hair, and haven’t found much it can’t do when styling my strands.

Philips Sonicare 9900 Prestige Power Toothbrush with SenselQ in Champagne – $380.00
I’m technically brushing with DiamondClean from Sonicare, but I want to tell you about the newer Prestige model because it really couldn’t be more cool. Not only does this toothbrush remove 20 percent more plaque than other toothbrushes and improve gum health, it also monitors and adapts your brushing patterns and habits so you get the cleanest mouth possible. This means: Any time you push too hard or lift, brushing can help you compensate so your mouth feels extra clean.

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray – $49.00
You probably don’t need this stuff anymore for PR, but Gorgeous Is it solid? It’s especially useful in the middle of the day when your hair is falling out, so if you’re buying it and have a real-world job, maybe opt for the smaller case so you can leave it everywhere with you in your handbag. One spray and the hair is zhuzhed.

Blinc UltraVolume Tubing Mascara – $26.00
This tube of mascara is pretty much the halfway point between a waterproof formula and one you can remove without having to call in reinforcements. It goes on like no other mascara and helps lengthen and thicken your fringe, and it also sets on lashes so they stay in place all day. When you’re ready to remove it, you can simply turn on warm water and the tubes glide right off your lashes—so easy.

Kosas Eyebrow Gel – $22.00
Thin brows are your brows to take with just a few swipes of the good stuff. I love using the tip of the wand to fill in spots and areas that need a little extra love, but with just a few swipes, the spoolie helps distribute the formula and looks like a dead bell for your brows (if they ever get a blowout, or the equivalent).
