It’s the ultimate comfort food, shredded pork, slow-cooked with ginger and chili, served with eggs and veggies and swimming in a flavor-packed pasta broth!
Slow Cooked Pork Ramen – What is it all about?
The beauty of this family-friendly recipe is that it’s really easy! Pork does not take time to prepare and can be cooked on the day of meal preparation or in advance if you like. Once you’re in the oven, that’s it! The oven will do all the work for the next 4 hours so you can do other things. Or put your feet up!
When it comes to serving, it couldn’t be simpler! Tossed the shredded pork in an appropriately sized bowl (the more the better) with hearty cooking broth, low-fat ramen noodles, and vegetables along with a hard-boiled egg (cooked to your liking! If you like soft boiled eggs – go for it!)
It’s the perfect recipe for the colder months and packed with nutrients to dramatically boost immunity. On top of that, it’s satiating and relaxing but only 390 calories per serving and the best part is that kids love it too, so it’s going to be a hit with the whole family!

It’s great to take me when you’re under the weather a bit, says Jess Anderson.
“Could that egg be the best pork ramen for dinner tonight. Quick and easy cooking in steps so I can rest in between because I was not feeling well in and out of the hospital but still focused on good nutrition to help get better.”
Jules Buxton loves that it’s a great choice to cook the steps and enjoy over several nights.
“Yesterday I cooked slow cooked pork ramen in the oven on low heat all day and then put it in the fridge overnight. I was having it for dinner tonight so I removed the fat, shredded the pork and filtered the broth. I reheated my portion and then collected everything in a bowl With pasta, a boiled egg, baby spinach leaves, green onions and carrots. I now have 3 large containers of pulled pork left for other meals.”
Julie couldn’t resist eating it twice in the same week!
She said “I’m eating slow cooked pork ramen again tonight…it’s a good lol this time. I’ve sauteed my home-grown abe of Chinese cabbage and spinach leaves in a little sesame oil and added them to my bowl of goodness.
