Tony admits that she always thought that to lose weight, you have to starve yourself and work out for hours at the gym!

After joining healthy mummy And participating in the 12-week challenge, Tony reveals that she learned a lot about providing her body with properly nutritious food and losing weight at the same time.

Tony Liberty is a 45-year-old mother of four from Brisbane, Queensland.
Says:Since my hysterectomy in 2012 I’ve been gaining weight, I’ve been going to the gyms or going on a different diet that has never worked.
Tony has two children with special needs, and as a single mom she admits she will at some point put all her energy into taking care of her children and will always put herself in the end.
“In 2014 I met my partner and I think it’s true when they say you feel good when you’re happy and that’s what happened. I was happy and just focused on my new relationship and gained weight.”
Marriage request
In 2020, Tony’s partner made a proposal and they actively started planning their wedding in 2023.’I looked at myself and finally realized I was overweight and wanted to look devastated on my wedding day.
Tony started her weight journey on her own and although she is restricted to exercise due to a back injury, she has managed to lose over 15 kilos. But at the end of last year, her weight loss stopped.
“At the end of 2021, my weight had dropped to 85 kg, but it didn’t seem to change anymore and I was very frustrated. A friend told me about The Healthy Mummy so I jumped in and joined my first 12-week challenge.

‘Life changes’
“Oh, how this has changed my life and my knowledge of losing weight. I started on Jan 4th 2022, I weighed 85kg and now I am 81kg since I joined the healthy mummy I lost 4 kg.
“I have a lot of support around for healthy mummy with a lot of advice and encouragement.”

- Make sure to stick to your calories
- Don’t beat yourself up if you had a bad day, tomorrow you can lift yourself up and try again
