For a delicious and healthy Easter chocolate dessert, you can’t go past the delicious hot chocolate cupcakes from 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge!
This recipe is really quick and easy and is a healthier option than store-bought hot cross buns that are usually packed with unhealthy fats and sugar. With only 5 main ingredients, this recipe uses whole wheat flour and Greek yogurt to make the dough, so there’s no need for yeast and waiting for the dough to rise. Plus cocoa, dark shredded chips, and coconut sugar for sweetness. It tastes so amazing that you’ll be making it all year long!

- 2 Glasses whole wheat flour
- 4 Tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 cup coconut sugar
- 1 & 1/2 Glasses Greek Yogurt
- 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup White flour
- 3 Tablespoon water

Preheat the oven to 200°C and line a round cake pan with baking paper.

In a large bowl, combine self-raising whole wheat flour, cocoa powder, chocolate chips, and coconut sugar until well combined. Add the Greek yogurt and mix together slowly.

Once mixed, place on a floured countertop and knead about 10 times, being careful not to over-mix as it will become very sticky.

Cut into 8 equal slices and roll each slice into a ball.

Start with one roll in the middle and place all the other rolls closely together until the dough is filled with the tin.

To make the cross shape, mix 1/4 cup white flour and 3 tablespoons water. Mix well so that there are no lumps. Put this mixture in a zip-lock bag and cut a small piece off the end to make a piping bag. Slowly create the cross shape on top of the hot cross buns.

Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes.

It is best served when hot. One cake serve one.
