Hi friends! happy Friday! I hope you had a wonderful week. Is it me or did he fly this week? Also, I don’t know what it is, but I’ve been feeling very frustrated/defeated/stressed for the past week. I guess that’s the fact that school is starting soon – I can’t believe it – and everything else is happening, but let’s just say I’ve been engaging in a bit more segmentation therapy than usual lately. Some of the latest ones that make me smile:
(Plants are going crazy with all these monsoons)
My Favorite People:
She loves to be held and sing like a baby
I’m definitely looking forward to a family trip next week and swim time this weekend to get some funk out.
In the meantime, let’s talk about some of my favorites! Time for your weekly favorite Friday party. This is where I share some of the things I love from the week and across the web. I’d love to hear about your favorites too, so please shout out something you love in the comments section below!
Fitness & Wellness + Good Eating:
The goodies being sold at Nordstrom are emerging! Here are some of the fitness favorites that arrived this week:
awesome zip file It will fit in all my gym gear when it cools down (there are still plenty of sizes in this)
breezy tank To create a class of barre, strength and yoga classes
Check out the rest of my Nordstrom’s best selling picks here.
The new SOS collection from My friends in Equilibria. It was recently launched and is the perfect way to try out a few essential products before making a full commitment. It includes three of my favorite products: The Daily Drops (the lovable new summer drink flavor!), Relief Balm (for aching muscles and can help a lot with cramps), and the Revitalizing Roller (I love this for summer bug bites and stress relief). Check it out here They’re also offering a subscription sale right now – 50% off the first month and 20% off the following months with the code FITNESSISTA. You will also get 15% off sitewide with my discount code.
Delicious acai bowl from Nekter:
(I usually get the classic banana + pea protein and peanut butter)
I forgot to take a picture but if you can get your hands on the Primal Kitchen Buffalo sauce, it’s very good. I found it at Costco and made a great buffalo chicken and tuna salad with it.
Read, watch, listen:
Well, I’m late to the party, but Virgin River! I’m only in the third episode and it might take 18 years to finish the season, but I love it so far.
A great episode of TMHS this week with Don Saladino. (Great tip to use more of the grower’s load in drills for core stability.)
beauty + fashion
Beautycounter launched new cream shades I am so excited to get here. The colors are gorgeous and made with responsibly sourced mica, which gives a glow instead of a shimmery effect.
Here are all the colors:
(I asked for shimmer, sepia, dusk, and glitter)
So pump for those! I’ll do a quick tutorial on IG when I’m here, but there’s one on This page, also. You can use it as a single color all over the lid, add a powder shade to further define the crease, use multiple shades of cream eyeshadow, or use it as a highlighter.
Happy Friday friends! Have a nice weekend and thank you very much for visiting the blog today.
