Kelly Freeman is 40 years old and lives near Coffs Harbor in northern New South Wales. She has three children aged 6, 10 and 12 years old.
While Kelly didn’t start her health journey with the sole purpose of losing weight, she admits that she doesn’t feel good about herself.
Kelly says, “I wanted to be healthier, more active, and have more energy.”
I dislocated my knee 6 years ago when the youngest was 6 weeks old. Since then I have been very reluctant to do any form of exercise due to the weakness of my knees and back.
Despite this, Kelly was determined to feel better about herself, so she joined in healthy mummy A little over a month ago. In that short time, she has dropped almost 3 kilos while sitting comfortably at her 66 kilo goal. But it’s not that number on the scale that pleased Kelly, but how her meal plans and new workout regimen made her feel.
“I feel so much stronger in my body!”
I have noticed a huge difference in my fitness and no longer feel afraid that I will hurt myself. I’m also looking forward to riding around our very hilly community with our kids.
How did Kelly reach her goal weight?
Kelly focused on following the meal plans and recipes from the healthy mummy app as well as sticking to the healthy mummy exercises.
I love that the meals are suitable for my whole family and I don’t feel like I’m on a diet or restricted in any way. I still enjoy a glass of bubbles every now and then or a glass of wine but I usually drink sparkling water now with lime.
I also aim for 6 healthy moms exercises per week (1/2 hour each) and usually spend the rest day at the beach or for a walk.
Before HM I used to do physical exercises once a week for 6 months a year and that was, a massive increase in the last month for me.

Kelly is happy with her results after only one month of following the program and she is happily doing her second challenge.
“I did my first challenge in January and now I’m doing the February challenge and for once in my life I’m excited to get up every morning and exercise.”

Kelly’s Day on a Plate
Breakfast: usually a delicious pie (bacon and zucchini) or an omelette.
Snacks: beetroot and feta dip with rice or vegetable crackers, chickpeas crackers and oatmeal slices.
Lunch: my favorite rice paper rolls, Sushi fried rice, chicken and salad or pineapple.
Dinner: Our family loves chicken tray, grilled seafood platter with salad and Shepherd’s pie.

- Start somewhere (even if only small)
- Be encouraged that you take care of yourself – this is really important.
