Customize your easy keto meal plan
My goal was to create an easy and delicious keto meal plan for as many people as possible. However, I know that everyone has different tastes as well as food preferences and even some food allergies to accommodate.
So, here are some tips to help you customize this meal plan (as well as most meal plans) to suit your tastes as well as foods you might already have in your fridge or pantry.
- Frozen vegetables are a great alternative to fresh vegetables. Frozen vegetables are also a time saver because they are pre-cut as well.

-
Canned vegetables are a good alternative to fresh vegetables But it’s not always perfect (except when a recipe calls for canned tomatoes). If possible, try to buy vegetables in BPA-free cans, especially canned tomatoes.
-
Ground meat is usually interchangeable. You can usually use any ground beef in the refrigerator or freezer in most recipes. However, ground chicken and ground turkey are usually not as tasty as ground beef or ground pork. Therefore, you may need to add a little spice to the recipe to give it more flavor.

-
Usually pork chops, steak, chicken breast and bone-in thighs are also interchangeable. Just be sure to pay attention to the cooking and cooking times according to the protein you used.
-
Canned tuna, canned salmon, and even canned chicken can be used in recipes. Just be sure to buy cans packed in water or olive oil and not unhealthy oils.

-
Chicken can be used as a substitute for fish in many recipes. However, the cooking time should be increased because chicken takes longer to cook compared to fish.
-
Cauliflower and broccoli can often be substituted in recipes. And don’t forget that frozen broccoli and cauliflower are also good to use.
-
Kale, chard, and spinach are usually interchangeable in recipes. However, if you are making cabbage chips, chard is a better alternative than spinach.

- Most types of mushrooms are interchangeable with each other. However, zucchini and eggplant can be used as substitutes if you don’t care for mushrooms.

-
Avocados can often be omitted from recipes if you don’t have any. Some grocery stores have frozen avocados, which can be used in place of fresh.
-
Season recipes to your liking. Herb and spice measurements are suggestions, but you should increase, decrease, or delete any of them according to your preference.
-
If you don’t think you’ll enjoy a recipe, just skip it and cook a different recipe. You can choose another recipe from our easy Keto meal plan or from hundreds of free Keto recipes from our website.

Cook meals in one go to eat throughout the week. We suggest that you take a few hours one day a week to assemble and freeze your cooking meals for later enjoyment.
-
Find a pair of Keto slow cooker recipes or Keto Instant Pot recipes So you don’t have to spend hours cooking in the kitchen. Don’t forget to freeze leftovers to enjoy later.

- Casseroles are also great for cooking once and enjoying as leftovers later. I usually enjoy leftover casseroles for lunch all week long.
