Talk about the couple’s goals! Daniel and Lisa Rylance together lost 43 kilos by eating recipes from healthy mummy app And use healthy mummy juices and healthy man meal replacements!

They both admit that working together as a team to reach their goals has made a huge difference to their weight loss success!

“I really don’t think we could have gotten that far if we hadn’t done it together!”

Lisa and Daniels’ Weight Loss Journey

Lisa rejoined Healthy Mummy 5 months ago, with the goal of losing 20 kilos. Although she hasn’t reached her goal weight yet, she says that supporting her husband Daniel was a huge part of her ability to lose 17 kilos.

Lisa says,Dan is very supportive! Every win on the scale encourages me on him, and if the scales aren’t in my favor that week, he always has something positive to say so I never feel like I’m failing.

“I’m really grateful that he’s doing it with me this time, it keeps me focused on my end goal and I know it can be achieved because I have his support.”

With Lisa’s support, Daniel began his own journey to better health and lost an astonishing 26 kilograms.

He says “I don’t think I would be on this trip without Lisa. I only started supporting her because she was starting over with the healthy mummy, but when I started seeing the weight drop, she just kept going! We keep each other responsible and reinforce with each other that this is not a quick fix, it is not a diet, it is a lifestyle change and it is manageable.

How do they keep each other on the right track

Lisa and Daniel say that talking frequently about their goals together helps keep them focused on how they want to achieve them.

Lisa says, “We encourage each other to keep going when the other person is going through their bottom day, we give each other support in the form of words, a hug or even fives when one of us reaches a milestone.

We still have a fair way to go and some days are harder than others when we face daily life challenges as there can be a few curve balls thrown at us but this is not a race we take each day slowly.

Our motto is “No Excuses”! We were interested in making excuses, we didn’t have the time, we were tired etc. Now we make time, plan our meals with the help of the Healthy Mummy app and push ourselves to get out of the house and get active! “

Start the day the right way

Every morning, Lisa and Daniel start their day with her very own breakfast! Lisa has Luxurious healthy Mummy smoothieAnd Daniel uses The Healthy Man as a shake every morning. He sometimes had Healthy man meal replacement For lunch too but admit it depends on Lisa!

“It depends if my wife made me lunch from her Healthy Mummy!”

Daniel says “I use water (instead of milk) to keep the calories low. The healthy chocolate guy keeps my chocolate cravings at bay, and I use vanilla with fruit on the weekends when I have more time.”

Finding time to exercise

It’s not just what Lisa and Danielle eat that helps them achieve their goals together. By finding time to commit to exercise, whether walking or taking advantage of the exercises in the Healthy Mummy app, they both love their newfound energy.

Lisa says, “We always train together, we have dedicated ourselves to riding and doing our weekly parkruns on the track in the afternoons.

Doing this together encourages us to stay motivated, we support each other and have a little friendly competition by trying to beat each other to the finish line! ”
