Install Chicken Kebabs to try them later!
I love chicken kebab and this recipe Chicken kabobs with asian dressing I hurt when I made it for my niece Kara’s family, so I can report that it’s not only healthy and low carb for adults, but it’s definitely kid friendly too. If you are looking for an idea for an end-of-summer BBQ, I can heartily recommend this recipe.
Although some people treat Labor Day Labor Day As a casual end to summer, I like to prolong the summer as long as possible. My garden still gives me zucchini and tomatoes, and I’m still grilling outside, so there might be more summer food ideas before we move on to heat-resistant dishes and baked goods!
How do you feel about the arrival of colder weather? Are you still celebrating summer like me? Or are you one of those people who actually thinks about (moments) pumpkin recipes?
What ingredients do you need for this recipe?
What Asian flavors are in this recipe?
I don’t claim this is an authentic Asian recipe, but with soy sauce, Asian sesame oil, garlic, and ginger, there’s plenty of Asian flavor going on here.
What kind of skewers did you use?
This recipe uses those beautiful blade type skewers I entered TurkeyAnd if you are making kabobs, I highly recommend using either of them Thick blade type skewers (referral link) or double skewers (Continued link) To prevent the meat from rolling on the skewers. But if you don’t have any such skewers, be sure to press the food together to hold it in place.
What if you don’t have an outdoor grill?
If you do not have an outdoor grill (or the atmosphere is not grilling) grilled chicken kebabs can be cooked on Grill pan on the stove with spurs or George Foreman Grill like that. (affiliate links) Remember that George Foreman Grill cooks both sides at once, so adjust the grill time.

How to make chicken kabobs with Asian dressing:
(Scroll down for the full recipe with nutritional information.)
- Mix the oil with soy sauce or Gluten Free Soy Sauce (referral link), Sesame oil (affiliate link), garlic puree, ginger puree, fresh lemon juice, and curry powder to make the marinade.
- Trim chicken breasts (or use 8 boneless, skinless drumsticks if you prefer) and cut 4 or 5 pieces crosswise.
- Put the chicken and the marinade in a ziplock bag and let it marinate all day in the refrigerator.
- When it’s time to cook, drain the chicken pieces while heating the grill over medium-high heat.
- Thread the chicken onto skewers, folding each piece so it doesn’t go around the skewer.
- Cook the chicken for about 8 minutes on the first side, or until you see nice grill marks and the chicken begins to firm.
- Then flip the skewers and cook for an additional 5 minutes on the second side.
- For best results, use instant read meat thermometer (Referral link) And take off the chicken when it reaches 165 F/75 C. (See more about Food Safe Temperatures.)
- Serve hot and enjoy.

Air Fryer Marinated Chicken Breast

4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts (see notes)
Salt water ingredients:
-
1/8 cup peanut oil (see notes)
-
1/8 cup olive oil (see notes)
-
1/4 cup soy sauce (see notes)
-
1 ton Asian sesame oil
-
1 T mashed garlic
-
2 tsp. Ginger puree
-
3 tons of fresh lemon juice (see notes)
-
1 tsp. Madras Curry powder or any other curry powder you like will work
-
Salt and pepper to taste
instructions
- Mix together peanut oil (or more olive oil), olive oil, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic puree, ginger puree, fresh lemon juice, and curry powder to make a marinade.
- Trim chicken and remove all visible fat and tendons.
- Cut chicken breasts into 4 or 5 crosswise slices. (For the thighs, cut each into two pieces.)
- Arrange the chicken in a single layer in a ziplock bag, pour in the marinade, and refrigerate for at least 8 hours. If you’re going home, flip it over a few times, but it’s not necessary.
- To cook, drain the chicken in a colander in the sink and let it come to room temperature while heating the gas or charcoal grill to medium-high.
- Spray the grill with nonstick spray or a brush with oil before heating it. (You can also apply a little oil directly to the kabobs after you’ve assembled them.)
- Thread the chicken onto skewers, folding each piece so it doesn’t go around the skewer. I like Blade skewers (referral link) or double skewers (Continued link) To prevent meat spinning.
- Place the chicken on the grill and cook for 8 minutes, rotating the partial cycle several times for maximum grilling.
- Then flip the chicken and let it cook for another 5 minutes, or until the chicken is firm but not hard to the touch.
- For best results, use instant read meat thermometer (Referral link) And take off the chicken when it reaches 165 F/75 C. (See more about Food Safe Temperatures.)
- Serve hot.
- Leftover roast chicken would be great salad like this.
Notes
You can use 8 boneless, skinless chicken thighs if you prefer. I like this with a mixture of olive oil and peanut oil, but use 1/4 cup olive oil if you don’t have peanut oil or don’t want to use it. I used Fresh and frozen lemon juice for this recipe. Uses Gluten Free Soy Sauce (Referral link) if necessary.
