We love to grill meat, vegetables and even fruit in the summer. It’s a great way to cook and clean up as little as possible! If you’re new to grilling or want to brush up on your skills, check out these 5 easy-to-follow tips for making every grilled meal delicious!
- Preheat the grill. Always preheat your grill with the lid down for at least 10 minutes before grilling! This helps ensure even cooking, food sears properly, and helps prevent food from sticking to the grate.
- Keep the grill clean. Clean the grill with a stainless steel brush. This helps prevent food from sticking and creates a safe and clean cooking environment.
- Keep the cap closed. Keep the grill lid closed as much as possible to keep the grill hot. This allows for even searing and helps the food stay moist and flavorful.
- Turn the food over once. If possible, turn your food only once. This, along with grilling at the correct heat, will help the food properly brown, caramelize, and enhance flavour.
- Let the meat rest. After grilling the meat, it is important to let it rest for at least five minutes before slicing. This enhances the flavor and prevents the meat from drying out.
